Letter foretold Japan rampage that killed 19 disabled people
- 26-year-old Satoshi Uematsu stabbed nearly a third of the 150 patients at a facility for the mentally disabled
- 19 were killed and around 25 were injured, 20 of them seriously
- Uematsu was fired from working at the facility and broke in by shattering a window
- It is Japan’s deadliest mass killing in decades
- Uematsu calmly turned himself in about two hours after the attack
- Those killed range in ages from 19 to 70
- In February, Uematsu tried to hand deliver a letter to parliament’s lower house speaker that demanded all disabled people be put to death
