Call for Journal Submissions

One of the outcomes from the Claiming Full Citizenship conference will be a Special Issue of RAPIDD – Research and Practice in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. They are particularly interested in papers that report research, critically reflect on the mechanism and practices for achieving self-determination and person-centred services, or review progress toward more inclusive lives for people with intellectual disabilities.

RAPIDD is published by Taylor and Francis on behalf of the Australasian Society for Intellectual Disability (ASID) and provides a forum for practitioners, researchers, and policy makers. The journal aims to disseminate research, draw out its implications for practice and policy, and generate informed debate on contemporary issues that matter to the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Comparative perspectives exploring differences between service systems or approaches to support for other groups of people with cognitive disabilities are welcome.

Papers can be submitted until the end of NovemberA flyer is attached and more information can be found at  http://explore.tandfonline.com/cfp/beh/rpid-cfp-self-determination
