Favorite Courses in UBC Faculty of Arts? Dr. Tim Stainton’s Social Work 453

Are you excited to register for the 2021/22 Winter Session?  UBC Faculty of Arts spoke with their Arts Peer Advisors to learn about their favourite courses.
Jovin Shumbusho (he/him) BA ’21. International Relations Major & Commerce Minor: “The Social Work course really highlighted the ableism in our systems and showed me how I can be a better ally to people with disabilities.”
Dr. Jennifer Baumbusch: Wonderful to hear Jovin (1:28) talk about Disability & Justice, led by Canadian Institute for Inclusion and Citizenship co-director Tim Stainton. I co-taught the course for several years and always do the Aging with Disabilities seminar.
The students are outstanding, engaged, and I wish more could take this course.
